The thing that bothered me about one of the games this season (spoiler alert- names the game and talks about them)
Hide and Seek.
Correct me if I’m wrong but this is the first and only time the game put the tool of death in one set of players hands and say here, kill the others to stay alive.
While the players at this point have no qualms about it, I don’t know.
It felt cheap to force them to be murderers.
Other than the final squid game, it’s always the players outsmarting, accomplishing the game or goal.
Sure they’re left to murder each other and in almost all games there’s an advantage that comes with eliminating players (eg glass bridge), it’s never been on the contestant to murder the others to save their own lives.
I’d even say that the tug of war doesn’t equate to murdering someone with a knife. In that game, you’re engaging in a team effort to save your own lives.
Am I making sense? Did anyone else think this was outside of the norm of the games?
