Removal or disposal of property

Location: southwestern VA Back in Oct. 2024, my boyfriend and I allowed a family of 7 (2 adults and 5 kids) to move into our owned home with us to help them out. After some fights that occurred, we gave them 2 months in March 2025 to move out and they moved out the next day. Except they left all of their belongings and animals. Finally June 14, 2025 we gave them 30 days to get their belongings otherwise it would be disposed of. I guess my question is, are we within our legal right to dispose of their things after they made no attempt to come and get it?
