Good for elderly?

I’ve been lurking at the fringes, so thank you for answering this question. My MIL is in an assisted living situation, and they only allow cooking appliances with an automatic shut off- does the TM do this?

She misses cooking and was a great cook. She dislikes institutional food and has celiac which limits her options in the dining hall. She is still okay mentally, and likes gadgets. But, she is 88, and can get a little overwhelmed. Wondering if she is a good candidate to learn how to us the TM?
