Local restaurant and cafe recommendations

I’m heading to Waikīkī soon and have been working on putting together an itinerary. But most of the recommendations I’ve received so far are really touristy. I’m hoping to find more local spots—shops and restaurants that residents actually go to. Also any recommendations of activities that are on the cheaper side would be greatly appreciated!
