Yet another 'tell me what I will like"- Top faves, Honorable mentions, and no thank-you's for context
What to watch next? Please account for....
My favorites, in order:
- Demon Slayer (FR it's not the animation, it's the writing. And if u don't like the fact they make all demons redeemable in their demise ur missing the point. I LIKE those cutaways explaining their lives This is my favorite show and I've watched all seasons 3x over and CANNOT WAIT for infinity castle)
- Hunter x Hunter (Chimera ant arc was amazing, damn those who say otherwise)
- Ouran host club (I am so embarrassed that I love this as much as I do, but I do. It's true and this is so wildly underrated, I will die on that hill)
- Dandadan - okarun tapping into his turbo granny powers makes me feel things... "Bad news babe, i can't make this curve" <swoon/faint, but whyyyy?>
- Komi can't communicate (I swear I'm not 100% shonen all the time!)
- Jujutsu kaisen (still do love shonen, obsessed w gojo, want the elaborate but can't do it without spoilers) * this one could move up or down depending on future seasons. We are dying for the next one though.
- Dragon prince (depending how some of the above unfinished shows end, this could get ranked higher in the future. It felt beautifully complete but with potential room for more, and I loved that balance)
- From me to you (a little slower paced but UGH MY HEART)
- Bee and puppycat - top tier comfort show, still fall asleep to it all the time
- My happy marriage (I know the protagonist is annoying to so many ppl, but I really love seeing someone so broken come into their power)
- Yuyu Hakusho (too obsessed with botan and genkai) tied w/ 11. Food wars (I feel a lil weird loving this, but alas...it was so fun)
Honorable mentions I was unable to rank:
-Avatar (Aang)- obsessed but it was the first anime I ever watched so I feel like I can't rank it properly. Uncle Iroh is BAE -Avatar (Korra)- also obsessed but it was the second anime I ever watched. This has my favorite ending, and I choose to believe that Korra and Asami are soulmates, whether that's romantic OR not -Naruto (I did love it and I might have this ranked if I didn't watch it for the first time as an adult)
No thank you's (tried, but did not like):
Chainsaw man - I understand it's ACCLAIMED: For me, it's too gory, couldn't get past EP 3, had to look away too much, but probably would have liked it more if I didn't;
JoJo's bizarre adventure - okay for a few ep. but everyone who endorsed it really raved about it, and I just didn't find myself wanting to watch more;
Cowboy bebop- couldn't hook me at all. I only watched 2 Ep.
Given the above context, and understanding that I love themes of compassion, acceptance, and strong female characters, what do you think I should watch next? Attack on Titan? Delicious dungeon? Deathnote? Black clover? Frieren? Something else?
Ty in advance....
