Has Viagogo tricked anyone else into cancelling their chargeback refund? I lost €1006

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share my experience with Viagogo, because it’s one of the most manipulative customer service situations I’ve ever faced.

I bought 3 tickets for the Bayern Munich vs VfB Stuttgart match on October 19, 2024. I paid €1006 through Viagogo. When we arrived at Allianz Arena, we were denied entry – the tickets were invalid or already used.

I immediately contacted Viagogo and submitted full evidence: photos, ticket scans, stadium denial. A support agent told me I’d receive a refund within 5–8 business days.

BUT THEN – they told me I had to cancel my chargeback with the bank, or they wouldn’t process the refund.

I was hesitant, but they insisted. I trusted them and closed the dispute.

That was the mistake.

After that, they sent me an email saying “your bank has refunded you” – which is 100% false. My bank rejected the chargeback, and I received nothing.

Now Viagogo is ignoring me completely.

So to recap:

• Viagogo sold me fake tickets
• Promised a refund
• Told me to cancel my dispute
• Lied that my bank refunded me
• Then disappeared

Just wanted others to see what they’re capable of, especially if you’re considering buying from them. Don’t trust any refund promises until the money is actually in your account.
