Assigned to Wallace, dining plan?

I got assigned to Wallace but don't really want a meal plan after seeing it's optional. Is it doable to just use the shared kitchen on the floor and the fridge in the room? I'm an incoming grad student (grad apartments were full by the time I was assigned a place) and haven't used a dining hall since freshman year of my undergrad, so I'm used to cooking for myself. Just want to check if it seems feasible with what's available in the kitchen
