ER for Cipro-induced calf problems?

I had FESS surgery on Monday 6/21 for chronic sinusitis. Surgery went well but lab reports run on bacterial cultures came back showing 4 bacterial strains that are not treatable with typical antibiotics. Ciprofloxacin was prescribed and started on 6/27. On 6/30 I started experiencing muscle twitching in my right calf. By that evening it felt tight in the area but did not hurt. On 7/1 the calf muscle was a little sore. It worsened throughout the day and by the morning of 7/2 I felt that it was also my Achilles tendon being affected. I emailed my ENT surgeon to notify him and request a change in antibiotics. The only exercise I have done since surgery is walking.
Today, 7/3, I did not take the Cipro in the morning even though I had not heard back from the doctor. I limp while walking. Walking without a limp is very painful (8) and trying to do a calf raise or stand on tiptoe is completely impossible.
I called the advice nurse because my doctor, although he did send in a prescription for an alternate antibiotic, did not advise on how to handle my current situation. Advice nurse spoke with her doctor and they said that I go to the ER tonight. That seems extreme? Is urgent care in the morning fine to do?
