Would you wear knee protectors over clothes?

Hya all, super noob here, I'm in the middle of getting my license for motorcycle (been on bike for 8hrs approx) I'm super uncomfortable riding without gear, just super anxious. That being said I have spent last 6mo getting all my gear on sales so I'm fully equipped. I have two pairs of pants, leather IXS racing pants (got them secondhand and they are nice and comfy, super protective and... I haven't tried them on bike yet) but I think I will look silly going below speed limit, learning to ride + all the heat right now. So I got second pair, aramid lined jeans with knee and hip protectors, I took measurements and they are tight fit especially when sitting/crouching. I have been riding in new jeans last 4hrs and they are very distracting and I'm already struggling with my bike and traffic so I think I will leave them for when I know how to handle the bike. I was looking into knee protectors to get them over my regular comfy jeans just for this period of learning and being in city traffic where speeds are low, but I see they are mostly recommended for off-road. I was willing to go just in jeans (which I did for first few hrs on parking) but somehow having some gear seems better than no gear. I was looking into knee and shins protectors price range 25-40e (Raven for example/ I'm in Europe)

Knee protectors over jeans yes/no? Any suggestions for price range up to 50e? Or should I just leather up no matter the silly looks and heat Pls halp this poor girly XD

Gear: I have leather gauntlet gloves IXS, Course leather jacket with protectors Richa leather boots Kyt helmet

Bike: Yamaha mt07 (I wish it was mine 😔)
