First time in Portland — What shouldn’t we miss? (July 24–27)

Hi everyone! My friend and I are coming to Portland for the first time from July 24–27. We’re in our 20s, don’t drink but we do smoke weed, and we’re into eclectic/weird/fun stuff. Definitely looking to eat some good food (especially lobster rolls), explore, maybe meet people, and just have a good time.

We already have the cryptozoology museum on our list, we’re planning to hit some thrift stores (Little Ghost, Strange Maine, Material Objects, Weekend Vintage, Find), maybe a lobstering tour, some geocaching.

Also: is Black Elephant Hostel worth checking out just to meet other people even if we’re not staying there?

Mostly just wondering: • Any hidden gems you’d tell a friend to check out? • Anything cool happening that weekend? (events, pop-ups, shows, etc.) • Where do people our age hang out if they’re not big on drinking?

Appreciate any and all recs!! 💗🦞
