Loved my Spundlink 2s, need a replacement

So my family's dog destroyed my 4+ year old soundlink 2s. Now im looking to replace them, i tried a pair of the NCH 700s a family member has but I dont really like the sound quality. Its hard to explain but I can hear individual instruments almost too well, like in one song I usually e joy I only hear the snare drum in my left ear.

I've read the quality is supposed to be fine but it still has this weord vibe to it. Any recommendations for something closer to the SL2s.

I dont really want to spring for the Ultras, they're a bit out of my price range.
