AITAH for calling some people out in a game???

Context about what its about: So I play a game where you survive as a creature and you can customize that creature and give it mant different skins. You can make ANY skin you want.

I replied to a comment of a post that asked "What did you do to get banned?" (the post was about the OP getting banned). I replied by saying 'He probably told someone their lgbtq skin doesn't look good'. OP replied saying "what?" (he didnt understand what I was saying). I then proceeded to explain to him how the people that create these skins tend to overreact and get mad if you say something like "that skin dosent look good on that creature". I then got more downvotes then the post had upvotes. Multiple people, with very weird bios and names if I must be honest, started replying with very, very rude things. They said stuff regarding my parents... I very much disliked ts but I didn't say anything to offend them (I was on the verge of saying something that most likely would have alerted their/thems mothership) because again, they tend to overreact. I am not homophobic in anyway (my username does NOT help my case), if anything, I support them, but stuff like this makes me wana be one of thoses uncs that got no chill in twitter💔. AITAH?
