Have to delay coming out
I was prepping the conversation to have with my wife that I am trans and I am looking at how to medically transition from male to female. I was nervous and excited because I'm finally feeling happy after coming out to this community and to my therapist, so coming out to my partner is a huge step for me.
Fast forward to Saturday, I have to take her to the ER (she's fine, she coughed to hard and threw out her back), come to find out she's pregnant and she's not advised to be pregnant right now (she is on a medication to manage chronic illness that doesn't have any studies on the interaction between the drug and pregnancy). The child, if viable and healthy, is mine (our second). Needless to say, this was not planned and we are shocked because she was on birth control and taking it effectively, the only explanation is it failed and we got lucky, or unlucky depending on how you look at it.
So, my wife is stressing out because of the possible complications and the lack of knowing when she actually got pregnant. With all of this stress, I don't want to add stress to her on how me being transgender would affect our relationship/marriage.
I'm all over the place because I wanted to come out to her so I could move forward so I'm disappointed that I had to delay. But, I'm also excited about possibly having a second child. Thank you for listening, I just wanted to get this off my chest.
