FSL Proficiency Test (Trent U or any FSL Proficiency Test for FSL AQ)

teacher support & advice

Has anyone taken the FSL proficiency test for the Trent AQ for FSL? I find it frustrating because although i never had the chance to do french immersion in high school I did get 4.5 University credits in it… However, I finished my undergrad in 2022 so it’s been a while outside of a french classroom and french grammar.

My level of french is ok. I think considering I have nobody to practice with aside from the odd French Immersion supply shift I do well.

I do have a passion for french and I watch tv in it, tik tok etc. But I am nervous to fail this French proficiency test which will stop me from getting my French AQ.

I don’t think this test should be the thing that delays me from getting this AQ. It’s not my fault that in the university setting I didn’t get many opportunities to speak, and core french only prepared me for grammar.

My question is that if anyone has taken this test is it proctored? Could I have a native speaker beside me to help if I can’t understand the writing part? Do they ID you in the speaking part? (I am assuming they do?) I’m 25 and i’m eager to get french as a teachable for secondary. Please help me with any insights.
