Conservator or Lawyer?
My Grandma has had 4 POAs in the last year. 3 have robbed her blind and 1 couldn’t handle it. She gets 3,000$ a month and has a 140,000$ check from my grandfather’s life insurance. Which is more than enough to cover her for life. All her savings and items in her house were stolen by her great grandkids and 2 of her kids. She’s asking for my help but I don’t want to be to blame or ruin the relationship. Should I have her talk to a Probate lawyer or Get a court appointment conservator? Or do we have other options? I’m just trying to keep what she has left out of greedy hands. She is of sound mind but cannot do the computer stuff to pay bills and nobody in her vicinity can be trusted. There is a huge court case pending for Theft, Elder abuse Ect….. What should I do?
