Three Options to Build Confidence
One of the steps to building confidence is learning to love yourself. When it comes to loving yourself you have three options:
First there are some things in life you're just going to have to learn to except. For me it's a large nose and ears compared to the rest of myself. For some of you it might be height, the way you look or your skin color. Those are just the cards we've been dealt. Anything other than exceptence for unchangeable attributes will drive a man mad.
Other things you are going to have to change in order to love them. For instance, I was 6ft2 148lbs at 22 years old. No abs to show for it. I was never uncomfortable with my appearance but gods damn it did I feel out classed in physical capabilities. Another aspect of my life that needed changing was my relationship with video games. I grew up in clans playing CoD with the boys from middle school to high school way too much. Otherwise I played a MMORPG with people across the world way too much. Now I'll occasionally binge online when I get the itch for a day or three and put it down. Otherwise I really do believe I could waste a life time away, contently playing video games for the majority of my free time.
Finally you'll find parts of your life you'll have to leave behind completely. Once you've identified an aspect that you know needs to be extinguished, you must work towards removing it from your life. Not doing so will cause an internal pardox between your continued actions and the knowledge you should not.
For me it was drug addiction, the lifestyle and social circles that come with it. Definitely was fun until it was. Unfortunately it always ended that way for me. Any type of addiction belongs in this category. Most of us know our deamons and know what actions can be taken to rid ourselves of them. It's a struggle many never overcome.
A confident smile is one of the most attractive things a man can have. For those that naturally do not posses one, you must root out your insecurities that hinder the love you need for yourself.
Those three options stem from stoic philosophy and essentially your only three options in life
