Started deficit 5/23/25 and I’m down 14lbs

Hi! I’m new to calorie deficit and have been reading through this page—I relate to so much of what’s been shared. For example, I often feel like I’m “cheating” on my diet even when I’m staying within (or under) my calorie goal. I’m usually not starving either, which made me worry that I was doing something wrong.

I’ve also become much more active lately, after hardly exercising before. Some days I even feel like my scale must be broken because I don’t seem to see a huge difference in my belly just yet.

I fast from 6 PM to 12 PM, and I stay under 1,400 calories a day. I recently discovered these dairy-free sweet treats called “Dough Licious” and I’m obsessed—they’re only 100 calories each!

My biggest struggle is vegetables. I know I need to eat more of them, but I just don’t enjoy them and I’m trying to find ways to make them more appealing.

One thing I’ve really been missing is tacos. Does anyone have any tips for making low-calorie tacos? I’d love any guidance or suggestions. Also, does anyone else feel like their scale may be wrong? I think weighing myself at the gym may be helpful to give me peace of mind. I would also love any additional tips you’d like to give to someone who just started just over a month ago. 🥰
