PvP vs. PvC

I'm someone that's keeping up with Zealand's The League that's currently ongoing, and someone in TomFM's stream asked a question that I also have and would like perspective on-

Is there a difference in PvP vs regular gameplay against the computer, in terms of setting up tactics and such, along with how they're executed? Is PvP better to be more eclectic with the tactics or are more out-there setups better for going against the computer and more standard tactics better for PvP? Stuff like that. Anyone with experience and insight, please share! Thanks!
