How are hand-in luggage treated on Lima and Cusco flight

Viajes a Peru | PeruTrip :MachuPikachu:

Hola hermanos,😁

Sorry, I'll be writting in english as my portuñol writting skills are very weak.🫠 But I can read somewhat ok if you need to write in Spanish. I'm from Brazil and later this month I'll finally fulfill my dream of vising Peru. I'm very excited. However, I have some concerns about my hand-in luggage.

I don't want to check out my luggage as I'm worried about the flight time. I'll be taking a São Paulo > Lima flight. Stay in Lima for 2 hours and 25 min. Then get into a Lima > Cusco flight. I heard (correct if I'm wrong please) that I have to get my luggage in Lima if I dispatched it. The entire journey is with LATAM, same tracking code.

But you see... the stupid manufacturer of my luggage clearly ignored the sizes the airlines like and I didn't think about that when I bought it. My fault.

The issue is the luggage length, LATAM says the maximum is 35cm but the luggage has 45cm. Other numbers are ok or even smaller. I don't know how much they pay attention to that in Peru. Do they? That's my first question.

I know they usually don't in Brazil and I'm hoping the flight won't be crowded with people with hand in luggage. If it's not crowded, they probably won't also ask me to dispatch it.

Yes, simply checking it out will solve everything, but I'm worried with the time. A foreigner came to Brazil sub very angry saying she/he lost the flight from Lima to Cusco because of the luggage. There was just 1 hour and half between the flights of that foreigner, and I have 2 hours and 25 minutes. But my anxiety is not very good at understanding how much time is enough time.

Can you help me out, por favor?

Gracias 🥰
