RPCS3 fails to update "E UPDATER: Failed to create new AppImage file: /app/bin/rpcs3 (Read only)"

I've checked my entire file system for over an hour and ran a search for all instances of "rpcs3" anywhere on my entire os and I could not find "/app/bin/rpcs3" anywhere. How do I change permissions on this file to let me write to it?

The flatpack version is fully up to date but whenever I start the program and check for updates it tells me I'm over a week behind on the latest updates. I do have flatseal installed but I will personally take it out back and set it on fire if that is the problem. I've added every folder I can think of with rpcs3 related data in it to the things it has permission to modify.
