AITA for canceling a trip because my boyfriend made fun of my body in front of friends?

So we were supposed to go on a beach trip with his friends, something I was actually looking forward to. I’ve been feeling a little insecure lately, but I still bought a new bikini and was trying to hype myself up for it. Then yesterday at dinner, in front of everyone, he joked about how I “better not scare the fish away” when I swim. Everyone laughed. I just sat there trying not to cry.

He said it was “just a joke” and I was being sensitive, but it felt humiliating. I told him I didn’t feel like going anymore, and now he’s calling me dramatic and “selfish for ruining the trip.” His friends think I’m overreacting, but it seriously hurt. I don’t think I should have to spend a weekend pretending everything’s fine after that.

So I canceled. He’s mad. I'm second-guessing everything now. AITA?
