Need an opinion

Tomorrow I plan on buying a 2004 Ford F150 with a 4.6 L V8. It has 240,000 miles, but is in really good condition. Body is in wonderful shape and from what I could tell mechanically, it seemed pretty decent. No metal in the oil no metal in the transmission fluid. It drove fine and showed no codes, no weird noises besides some rear suspension noise, shifts smooth mild rough start on first gear but my s10 was the same (totaled the other day) and I drove it around for probably 45 minutes. I’m buying this thing for 3K primarily because my main car is a Mustang and want to find a truck that’ll last me 2ish years till I’m in the market to get a nicer one. What do you guys think? Should I pull the trigger for 3K? I’ve read a lot online that these engines are pretty good and can go a while if properly maintained which all signs point to this one has been.
