Curious question about Samsara and Split Sleeper...

I've always treated the Split Sleeper rule as if it is a 7/3 split or a 8/2 split. But I think my ELD (Samsara) is calculating it by the minute.

Example, if I spend 7 hours and 6 minutes in the sleeper, then it seems to deduct that 6 minutes from the "Off-Duty" time required. So, I get to again after 2 hours/54 minutes. Should I just shut up and count my blessings?
