First NEW Subaru with NEW look!
After a ton of research, I decided to buy my first Subaru. I am a former Toyota guy and have owned a dozen of them in my lifetime. All the data NOW supported SUBARU, so I went for it. I bought a stock Crosstrek Premium which had the Offshore Blue Ad-On for an extra 400.00 dollars. I have since installed new TRUCK WHEELS! Yep, I said it. Truck Wheels! which gave it a 2inch wider stance because of the 40mm offset on each wheel. That's 1 inch per wheel. I wanted to give this vehicle a more aggressive look, that lives up to all of those YouTube videos I viewed, before my purchase. This darn thing beats out nearly every 4X4, and All wheel drive, in the country. It reminds me of the jeeps I use to drive in the Military. They were light and could go anywhere. It just didn't seem right to put a car wheel on it. I will lift it and put different tires on it if I move out of California. Right now the ALL TERRAINS are great for where I live. I didn't like the Subaru Hood Stamp, so I made my own using the same high grade vinyl that Subaru uses. It came in 12 inch widths, so I cut two rectangles and cut a sliver out of each to give it a unique look. Also used 1 inch high grade vinyl tape, to finish the project off. I installed gloss black OEM emblems on the doors, and installed an OEM bumper guard, along with OEM floor liners, and window deflectors. Also a carbon fiber back window louver finishes the look off. I can do countless other things to this vehicle if I just want to poor money down the drain. I wanted the most impact for about 2,500 dollars, and I think I achieved it. Most might say that it's a little out there, but I'm a little out there too, so it is what it is. I have had this car for 6 months and have only broke 1k miles last week. I plan on traveling soon, so will put this precision machine to the test. I really know down deep that I can go anywhere in this thing, and I will never worry about getting stuck........
