Finally Had a Pap Smear!

I just wanted to share this because I'm 32 (almost 33) and never have had sex. I have endometriosis which causes the vaginismus. I was put on BC specifically for treating and managing the endo. I shopped around and found a very patient and caring Gyno (after having several who were rough or not kind). She worked with me since last year to prepare my mentally for the pap and the pelvic exam. She used the smallest speculum and lots od extra lube. It actually went in! Yes, it was painful. There was that deep, deep burning and tugging but then she would stop and wait and it actually stopped hurting. The pelvic exam went very smoothly! I just wanted to share because I have never been able to have this exam done. However, thanks to the BC and pain management plus a very patient and kind gyno, I finally got it done. It feels like a big turning point for me and I'm really happy. I have been depressed feeling "defective" or "broken" but she told me that my pelvic muscles are tight ans the endometriosis contributes to pain, but that it can be managed (and she's right!).
