What to expect and how to manage?

I’m 25 years old and have never lived alone before. Got kicked out of my parents, then got kicked out of a drug house, and currently live with great people who are family to me. I had a girlfriend and we made plans to move to Michigan together but she broke up with me, and my family is moving to New York. They would love to have me with them, it’s me who doesn’t want to go.

I have found a place, and have been self reliant on everything except for company. Just knowing that someone else will be home that I could talk to. I already miss my girlfriend, and my cat that she took with her. And I’ll miss my friends when they move. How do you guys manage being alone? And what should I expect? Thank you in advance!
