Transiting Turkey with less than 6 months passport validity

Yes, I know i should have renewed, but it is what it is. Im a Canadian in Australia for the past few months and need to urgently reach Netherlands.

SYD-> IST transit -> AMS

Canada Passport just under 6 months till expiry (177 days), but I've heard Turkey might be 150 days valid before expiry. Just curious would I be able to transit through IST. Would they even let me board.

I originally only thought the end destination is what matters as im going to Amsterdam which is 3 months validity.

Thanks!
