Is it just me or does Veteran feel a little redundant?

Either I'm a goober and can't build craft,, but it feels like all the other classes have what Veteran has, but just better.

Stealth? Play Zealot. Support? Zealot or Arbites CC? Psyker

I'm having trouble seeing Veteran's potential here in comparison- can someone help out?
