Locals in TECH

Why are there not more locals in the tech sector in BLR? For context , I am from NCR, with around 10 yrs of exp, worked for 7-8 in NCR, met v few people from the south there, so I naturally assumed that people from south have BLR HYd so maybe that’s why they don’t come up north. But I joined a big tech company in BLR last year and to my surprise there were very few locals throughout the company, there were more telugu and tamils than BLR locals. Why is this the case ? With so many opportunities in the city , why aren’t locals flocking to it ?
