Fireworks questions

Hello. Hoping to get to the park and watch the fireworks tonight. I have a few questions. I have 6 year olds. How busy was the park last night with the fireworks. Where is the best place to watch? I heard main street, but still wanted to ask. Can you see the fireworks well from your car? Was it terrible trying to leave?
