Is Retinal 0.1% serum too strong to start with?

I'm new to this and I’m thinking about starting with this 0.1% serum from Minimalist: https://global.beminimalist.co/en-my/collections/retinal/products/retinal-0-1-face-serum

Just wondering if I should start here or maybe buffer it or go for something even milder first. Would love to hear your experiences or advice!
