PSA: Simjack UT elastomers' hardness ratings are completely wrong!
Just a heads up for potential Simjack pedal buyers and current owners!
I recently purchased a set of Simjack UT pedals - they're great but the included elastomers are borderline useless! The softest (yellow) elastomers are supposedly 60HA, yet they're hard as rock.
I ordered a set of genuine Heusinkveld Ultimate elastomers, which are also rated at 60HA (as per Heusinkveld customer support) and they're completely different. I can easily compress them with my fingers, whereas the Simjack elastomers i can barely compress with my foot!
Now, i'm no expert and i have no measuring equipment to measure the actual hardness of both elastomers - but i sure as hell trust Heusinkveld's measurements more. Even the "hard" Heusinkveld elastomers are SIGNIFICANTLY softer than the softest Simjack elastomers.
TL;DR - Simjack pedals are great, the included elastomers suck and their hardness ratings are completely wrong. Get Heusinkveld elastomers instead.
