A week after finishing it and I still feel weird

SpoilerDiscussion

It’s been a week since I finished the game’s story, but I’m still kinda messed up about how everything went down.

I might be going through some sort of grief that didn’t really go away when the credits rolled. I get that, in the creator’s mind, everything probably seemed super clever and meaningful, but honestly? That story hit me hard. It actually made me wonder if it was even worth spending my money on the game, 'cause I felt like I was being emotionally tortured by what was happening.

I got really into the first game. The bond with Lou felt super strong—like, almost like a real parental connection. Yeah, I know it’s all in a virtual world (no need to send me to therapy, lol), but when the baby "died" in the second game, it triggered a ton of negative feelings in me. From that moment on, I couldn’t keep playing without feeling constant dread. And having the BB pod on my chest again just made it worse. Long story short, the whole experience was painful for me.

Now, even after finishing the game—knowing that "tomorrow is Lou" and she’s okay—I still can’t accept how things happened. Or how much Sam had to go through. The guy was finally living in peace, away from all the chaos, minding his own business, just focused on what really mattered to him. Then Fragile shows up—maybe without bad intentions (or maybe with, I don’t even know anymore)—and drags him back into it all, asking him to start delivering stuff again. It felt like she just ripped away his peace.

Honestly, everyone seems fake. They all say they care about Sam, but at the end of the day, all they really want is for the damn package to be delivered.

I just can’t accept that all the horrible stuff that happened to Sam was because people kept asking him for favors. And he never really had the choice to say no—it’s like he was just expected to do it, end of story. All those messages from preppers about how amazing he is and how much they care about him feel so hollow when I think about what it cost him to get there.

Well, that’s it—I guess it’s kind of a rant, maybe a bit of hope that someone will say something to help me move on XD
