How to get over not getting the proposal I've always wanted? (28F 30F - 3 years relationship)
I (28F) proposed to my fiance (30F) back in March. We had already decided to get married at the end of this year before even doing a proper proposal, but it was something we both wanted. I saved up for around 5 months to buy a nice ring that suits her tastes and proposed in a really nice way.
But now we're in the middle of an expensive move, and have a lot of expenses all over for a bunch of things at once. She keeps sayings things like "Ah and I still haven't bought your ring, I'm so stressed". I've just kind of realized as time as passed that I'm probably just not going to get it. I'm the type who has dreamed of my wedding and proposal and things since I was little, but I'm probably never going to get a beautiful proposal and engagement ring.
I'm just not sure how to get over it or accept it. On one hand I keep feeling like if she had prioritized it, she could have started saving earlier like I did and made it happen, but on the other hand I know that it wouldn't have really been possible either. And I keep telling myself that a proposal doesn't indicate anything. I already proposed. We're engaged regardless. Any advice on how to manage my own feelings?
