Mount. Fitz Roy

I have been thinking of going to Patagonia and climb Mt. Fitz Roy. Do I need a guide to do this? I have done glacier expedition with guides before. The only thing worries me that I am not good with ropes. Is there a route to summit without doing any technical climb?

I would also be interested to tag alone with group who are looking for a person during Dec/Jan summit. TIA
