Excited, nervous, all the emotions

We pick up our whippet puppy in a week (he will be 9 weeks) and the household (3 & 5yo) are very excited! As am I, but I’m also super nervous 😬

I’m feeling both over prepared & under prepared at the same time 😅 I’ve taken a week off to get toilet and crate training off to a start, have our crates, toys and food puzzles are ready to go, I also printed a puppy schedule to use as a rough guide that’s front and centre on the fridge.

I guess I’m mostly worried about fitting puppy in around the chaos of kids, like with nap time if the kids are being loud will it disrupt puppy and we end up with a puppy who can’t settle unless there’s dead silence or puppy waking the kids up barking in the crate. I obviously don’t have as much attention to give compared to if we didn’t have kids so trying to think of the best ways to approach this!
