Caught driving 65mph in a 50mph zone in England

I am a relatively new driver so I am really worried.

I passed my driving test last year, April, so it's been slightly over a year. The notice states that they have discretion to impose a fine of £1,000 and 6 penalty points. I've already done the speed awareness course really early on when I started driving because I was just so oblivious to speed zones, and this is now the only other time that this has happened.

What is the likely prosecution? And would it be better to state that my second driver, my father, was driving at the time?

I really don't want to get six points, but all of my friends are telling me that I am going to lose my license and that my insurance will go sky high.
