[Help] Newbie choosing between Xenns Mangird Tea Pro and Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro X — mostly for gaming (no FPS), techno music, and general multimedia
Hey everyone,
I’m pretty new to the audiophile world and used classic gaming headsets for the past 10 years. I am looking to upgrade my audio setup. I’ve narrowed it down to two options: the Xenns Mangird Tea Pro (IEM) and the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro X (headphones).
My main use cases are:
- Gaming (but not competitive FPS)
- Music, mostly techno, trance, and other electronic genres
- Watching series/movies and general multimedia consumption
I’m really unsure which direction to go — IEMs or headphones — and how each of these performs in the categories above. I’ve seen praise for both, but not much direct comparison between the two for my specific needs.
Would love to hear your thoughts, experiences, and recommendations. Which one do you think suits my use case better? And if there’s something else you’d recommend around the same price point, feel free to suggest it!
Thanks in advance!
