Great work experience but little volunteerism etc. - worth applying?
I've been a pharmacist of 15 years now, having worked in community pharmacy with a specialty in compounding, a couple outpatient clinics including a pain clinic, several years in corrections health and several years in-hospital in internal medicine.
My time in-hospital has really motivated me to consider applying for medicine. I work one-on-one with the docs and I just love learning about all the things we see in hospital that I was not so privy to in my past ambulatory practices.
But I'm hesitant to apply as I don't have the typical volunteerism and ECs. I don't think my cGPA would be that great either but it should hit the minimums needed.
Any tips/thoughts/experiences would be appreciated!
