What's up with scenes when Thane talks, game cam goes up close to his face and flashing transitions

I'm replay the trilogy through the Legendary Edition. It refreshing to realize some things kinda missed on first playthrough from like close to a decade ago.

Currently on ME2, it never bothered me the first time those Thane scenes but now those gives off impression like Shepard is drugged or something. lol
