EAC Activating for no reason

For context, I haven't played this game in years and this is a new PC of mine. I haven't installed any mods on this pc, nor have I save-editted.

However, for some reason we'd be playing a mission and it would kick me out of the PQ after a good minute or so.

I'd love it if anyone had any idea how to patch this, or if there's any fix for this.

(We are both Windows 11 on the steam version of the game)
