I started reading Crescent city

Okay, can I just scream a lil please.

After crying my eyes out reading TOG, rolling my eyes reading Acotar (still crying my eyes out too tho), I have started reading the first CC book. Very cautiosly. I expected everything. At least I thought so. But it was fine. You know? It was ok, girl is managing her life, she has a support group, it's so unlike the other two series. I have started to relax. My muscles have started to let go the tension of suspicion. I trusted Sarah on this. My Kindle being like "10%", me being "Well, considering the gal's not immediately enslaved in chains, or suffering from poverty and family abuse, I guess SJM decided to do things differently this time and let it gradually unfold instead of her eternal pain style tropes 🙂🙂🙂" Right? Right? (Princess Leah meme)

I haven't experienced this level of wtf in any of the books, honestly. None of the plot twists in other series have caught me off guard like this. I'm still in shock and can't believe she did this. She let me become invested into that gang. I just can't. Uugghh. Thanks.
