UK to AUS ?

Has anyone gone from doing undergraduate in the UK to Australia? Is it worth it? I know it would be lengthy process but the state of UK suggests it to be the same as getting onto doctorate is very very difficult . Would it be better to do honours in australia then apply onto program there or is it just as competitive?

Thank you for any feedback!
