How accurate was your idea of how it would feel for you to be pregnant?
For example, if you imagined that you would be one of those happy, glowing pregnant women who wears cute maternity dresses to frolick on flower medows to take adorable bump photos and people around you will compliment you, ask about the baby, let you skip the queue etc. and you will float through live as a VIP... Did that happen?
Or if you assumed you would hate everything about it, have all the worse symptoms and bite off people's heads if they dare to make one comment or ask one annoyingly repetitive question, and you would spend the whole time wearing your husband's old painting-the-house T-shirt and feeling miserable while gaining weight... Did that happen?
Did anyone expect one and get surprised by the other?
I suppose it's a spectrum in any case, so how close to the truth was your idea of what being pregnant would feel like (for you)?
Bonus question: Did you expectation match reality for how your husband/other support system would behave when you're pregnant?
