Trespassing kids hit balls into our group. Police Involved

I live on a golf course. Oftentimes late in the evenings some people will play the course with a couple clubs after close. Fine. Kids go looking for balls. All good.

Yesterday however I was paired up with some members and there were kids on the course, barefoot, playing the holes near the house in the middle of everybody's round. One of our group members said something to them and they talked back at us. Said they lived here. We said you shouldn't be out here while people are playing. they were maybe 12 years old. Fine whatever.

Then they hit a ball into us on a par 3 before we were off the green. a shouting match started. I asked which house they said yeah the one with a pool. I said I'm gonna talk to your parents. They said I don't care go ahead! We said the police are gonna come. You're trespassing. They said what are they gonna do arrest us? I said wow you're a bunch of spoiled rich kids- you got that white privilege attitude. They said you're rich too you live on the course! I said no I bought my house! you are children! They said we were being immature.

They keep going behind us on following par 4. I take one of their balls that they hit behind us lol. By this point another guy with us had already called the clubhouse who had already called the cops. Cart girls warn them cops are coming and they slowly start moseying back home. Then a sheriff pulls up and the kids book it running. My wife, whom I was texting this whole time, was laying on the deck and sends me a snapchat of the kids sprinting across the fairway.

We were so heated arguing with these little punks.

I still wonder if I should walk down the road and tell on them to their parents.
