Blood of Aenerion: Martial Prodigy seems bad

Roleplaying

A few days ago I bought the High Elf Player Guide. Generally I really like it but one of the things I find strange is the discrepancy between the Blood of Aenerion Magical and Martial Prodigy. Magical Prodigy makes it so all your spells cost half XP. Especially when you aim for High magic you need to learn a lot of spells. Meaning this talent easily saves you 1000+ XP, possibly a lot more. Meanwhile Martial Prodigy gives you half cost for a few talents. Mainly the stat talent like +5 WS, +5 S or +1 M. It’s seven talents in total all of which you can only take once. Meaning it saves you at most 350 XP. All the while you probably can’t even learn the talents because they aren’t in your career.

I created a Swordmaster and can’t make use of the talent and can’t take advantage at all. I know HE are busted as is with all the new tools they got, but I don’t understand how the talent is so incredibly strong for mages and near useless for warriors.

What are your thoughts?
