Can we PLEASE get a truly neutral shooting mode on the S24 Ultra? Even at 'minimum' optimization, it's still overprocessed.
Cross-posting from Samsung Community, because this issue deserves way more visibility.
I bought the S24 Ultra specifically for the camera - expecting flexibility, control, and accuracy. Especially at this price range.
But even with 'Intelligent Optimization' set to 'Minimum', photos are still aggressively processed: boosted saturation, contrast, and sharpening. There's no real way to turn it off.
This has honestly ruined several moments this past year.
At my dad's funeral, I had to send photos to myself through Facebook Messenger just to get versions without forced edits (one by one - open camera, shoot, send, redo). Same problem when trying to photograph my cats - they end up looking blurry and shiny.
Even nature photos are unusable for realistic documentation or artistic work. I'm an artist and photographing nature is my hobby, this really makes my hobbies harder.
It's absurd that my old S21 handled color more naturally than the S24 Ultra.
And no - I shouldn't have to use RAW or third-party apps just to get a neutral shot.
This isn't just a 'pro' complaint either - I literally can't even take color-accurate pictures of stuff I want to sell on Marketplace or such, I have to use Facebook Messenger for that too, or the stuff I'm selling looks wrong.
Please, Samsung - give us a real neutral shooting mode.
No AI corrections. No hidden saturation boosts. Just clean, honest images. Let us edit the pictures on our own, if we want to. It's a great feature for beginners who want some easy adjustments, but not being able to turn it off, is insane.
