I Feel Like a Chore in Other People’s Inboxes

I hate it. I’m starting to hate texting. Every message I send lands like homework on someone else’s phone. They reply hours or days later with a single line, or sometimes just an emoji, just enough so it doesn’t look rude. Conversation over. I’d rather not have texted at all, but then I will truly be alone.
