what does this mean?

a part of my needed credit points is

• 24 credit points of selective or elective units of study from table A or elective units of study from Table S

does it mean 24 TOTAL from table A and S? or do i have to do 24 credit points each for Table A and 24 credit points for Table S?

just a little confused as im a new student. any help will do thankyou!
