When Beatmatching - the Voice in the song is too silent and echoing

hi, i started mixing today (headphones Sony MDR-ZX310AP)(mixer hercules inpulse 300 mk2) and i wanna mix nice for what from drake into another song just for trying out stuff but when im on headphones mode and i wanna align the song, i just hear mostly the beat being very loud and his voice literally 10000miles away and very silent. when i adjust the headphones sound on the mixer to be more silent its more balances but too silent cuz the other song just blasts my ear.

anybody have similar issues or know somebody that knows how to fix it? i thought its maybe my headphones, but they were recommended bei a lot youtubers for beginners.
